The MCP server has a tool that will give the LLM all the necessary context for it to understand the exercise by loading the instructions as well as the transcripts. With that, you can ask it to quiz you on the topic you're supposed to learn in the exercise. This will help you solidify your understanding, and you can even ask questions with the LLM to further deepen your knowledge and understanding of the material.
This video demonstrates it in Cursor, but it should work in Windsurf and VSCode.

The Epic Workshop MCP server has been updated to add a couple of really cool capabilities. So here's what we're going to do. Let's move on to the next exercise. Please set my playground so I can get to work. And this will use the tool to set the playground that's built into the Epic Workshop MCP server.
So we go Set Playground, run the tool, and here we are, Compound Components is the next exercise. So here I'm going to say that I just finished the exercise and I just want to check my understanding of things. So could you read the context for this exercise and quiz me on a couple of things that I should understand based off of this exercise just to check my understanding. And here it's going to get the exercise context. So it's going to learn about everything around the exercise.
If you're a subscribing member, then you will also have access to the transcripts in here. And so then it can make a quiz that will check your understanding. So here, what is the main purpose of the compound components pattern, and how does it differ from a more traditional API approach? And let's just say, I actually don't understand that first question. Could you explain the, or answer that for me and explain it to me please.
Or you could provide an answer and it will check your understanding. It's just an LLM and it has all the context from the exercise to use to answer your question. You can dive in deeper, all using the LLM assistant that you're already using, whether that be in Cursor or VS Code or WinServe. So I hope that you give this a shot. There are some really cool and exciting things as a part of the Epic Workshop MCP server.
